The Witcher: Slayer Monster Brings AR Monster Battles to iOS and Android this month

After Pokemon Go, we have seen a number of other franchises try to replicate the success of the game in the AR room. CD Projekt is one of the companies that tried his hand at AR Gaming, because it announced Witcher: Last year’s Slayer Monster. Fast forward to today and now The Witcher: Slayer Monster has a release date on iOS and Android.

As announced today on Twitter, the Witcher: Slayer monsters will be launched on Android and iOS on July 21. Because most of us may have been assumed, the game will be a free title with in-game purchases. What is on Android can register for the game starting today through the Google Play Store, even though it is seen by some replies to the tweets you see embedded below, there seems to be some problems with pre-registration today.

As the name suggests, The Witcher: Slayer monsters will have hunting players and fight various monsters from the Witcher universe in augmented reality. This game has an overhead map that displays the location of the nearest monsters, just like how the world map of Pokemon Go shows the nearest Pokemon and other interesting places.

Beat the monsters will ask the player to choose the right armor and armor for the job, just as Geralt must switch between the silver and steel swords in the mainline Witcher game. Players will also be able to complete, search and collect trophies from the monsters they defeat. Completing the search and killing monster will give XP, and as the level of the player rises, they will be able to take a more difficult battle.

It sounds like an interesting game in some aspects, but so far, there is no AR game that has managed to find the same success as Pokemon Go. Will Witcher: Slayer Monster Be the first? It’s a high task for sure, and we will see if the Slayer monsters are ready for it in just a few weeks.
