E-Legend EL1 Concept Harks Back to Yore Wheel Machine

German E-Legend Startup has created an electric car with attracting inspiration from the brilliant days of rally – especially Audi-conquering Quattro S1, the first all-wheel-drive rally car to compete in the Championship (WRC).

E-Legend selects several large shoes to be filled for the electrical concept that enters. For those who have remembered enough, Audi brought home three WRC titles between 1982 to 1985, and Quattro immediately became a legend of a rally. It is not easy to revive the design of the legendary car, but it seems that rally fans (including yours) will not be disappointed with the electrical concept of legend.

EL1 body shape reincarnated from the style and liftback of the Audi Quattro Sport. The result is an Audi-Esque Retro silhouette with a light sprinkling of cyberpunk design cues. We were sure about a combination of light paint and white wheels, but it was difficult not to pay attention to the round hip, the rear spoiler vintage style, and the typical facade.

Under it is that the body of the retro-delicious carbon fiber is a 90-KWh battery package and three electric motors riding the four wheels of Quattro. The Tri-motor setup pumps 805 horsepower, 300 more horsepower than the original Quattro S1 rally car. And because the e-legend claims the fringe weight of around 3,700 pounds (1,680 kg), he switches from zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds, faster than the most supercar.

Encouraged wisely, e-Legend claimed 248 miles from El1, even though the car maker claimed the car could play Nürburgring twice without experiencing loss of performance. Meanwhile, the highest speed is 158 mph. And with a three-way suspension that can be adjusted, you can drive this baby home from the racing line without splitting your back.

By the way, the white wheel measures 19 inches in front and 20-inches behind. And even though the details remain vague, we consider the 90-KWH battery package to be under the floor to lower the center of gravity. “Our goal is to transfer analogous primal instincts from emotional drive to the modern world,” said e-legend.

Inside, El1 has air conditioning, camera rear view, and modern infotainment system with multimedia connectivity. E-Legend will only produce 30 EL1 examples, with basic prices starting € 890,000 or around $ 1.05 million before tax.

It was a lot of money for electric cars inspired by retro, but there was more good news: this company has two newly inspired models in pipes, which we assume are more expensive than EL1.
